the weather in sf has been a mix of bright sun during the day and chilly and windy once karl the fog rolls in, so i haven’t had the chance to really wear true summer pieces yet. which means the summer pieces i do have need to work extra hard, like this white floral maxi dress from dress barn. the lighter background helps it feel more seasonally appropriate, but the darker leaves and flowers mean that i can layer it with a blazer and it becomes work-to-dinner ready. the ruffled v-neck neckline is subtly sexy, and the tie waist gives you a bit of definition.
i picked up this belt bag a few weeks ago at west coast craft, and theresa was nice enough to add a few holes in it so i could wear it on the waist and cross body. i love how it blends in nicely with the white maxi dress and lets me go hands-free, but is a great pop with darker looks.
