i was so happy to see blair launch her halogen x atlantic-pacific collection with nordstrom last october, and a few things were high on my wishlist like this long navy blazer. you know i love a blazer, and this one checked quite a few boxes: a longer length, a neutral shade that’s super versatile, and a fabric that doesn’t wrinkle (this one is a thicker, almost ponte-type material). navy and black is one of my favorite combinations and this look doesn’t (technically) feature anything new. one thing that’s always been important to me with the blog is not just pushing consumerism but showing you how to wear what’s already in your closet (or at least something similar). to me personal style is all about how you remix and restyle, and find new combinations. it’s easy to wear a blazer like this over a pencil skirt or trousers, but how about a pair of leather leggings (which you can also see styled here) and a lace turtleneck (also seen here)? i want to continue to inspire you to explore your personal style and also challenging the notion of “dressing your age.” but doing that doesn’t mean buying a bunch of new things, and when i do share shopping posts, it’s thoughtful and intentional.
i had such an amazing time in mexico city…i still can’t stop talking about it and hope to go back some day. it’s quite a large city and even after 10 days, i felt i just scratched the surface. a post is in the works that will include where we stayed, what we did, ate, saw, etc., but if there is something specific you’d like to see, let me know. in the meantime, i’ve added a highlight to my instagram featuring all my stories.
halogen x atlantic-pacific blazer, free people lace turtleneck (new version here and here, also love this lace bodysuit), vince leggings, manolo blahnik pumps, céline clutch and sunglasses, cristabelle earrings
