as much as i love living in urban spaces, the one thing i do miss about the suburbs is target. there has been many rumours of target coming to the metreon (after the tavern on the green deal fell through), but in the meantime, i am forced to bart it to san bruno if i want to get my fix of cute, cheap fashion and accessories. well for three days only, target is opening a gifting pop-up shop called target to-go in mint plaza just in time for holiday shopping (and a preview of the go international rodarte collection).

here’s how it works: you get in line and are given a checklist with the 50 items available for sale, all numbered. you can walk by the windows to see all of the items, including sizes and prices. order by number your selections, then you take your checklist to the cashier. after being rung up, you walk down to the end of the “house” to pick up your pre-wrapped packages, already bagged in a reusable tote. the gift windows are organized into things under $25, things under $50 and everything else (which includes iPods and wii). there really is something for everyone, including legos, hair dryers, dvds, games, and intimates). for the fashionista in your life, there are 3 rodarte pieces available: the sequined rib cage dress, the lace halter dress, and the nude lace and tulle dress, along with the leopard print and black bow belt.
i picked up the sonia kashuk glitz and glam travel brush set and the sequin rib cage dress (pics to come). what is also nice is there is bowls with batteries, scissors and other small accessories that you can grab with your presents.
the target to-go pop up shop will be open friday to sunday from 10am to 8pm daily, and tomorrow only, kellan lutz from twilight will be on hand at 9:30am handing out gifts. so get there early!!
