riccardo tisci presented the givenchy couture collection today, and it was more pret-a-porter than haute couture. he said the collection was inspired by “gothic ballerinas,” and the circle skirts with white frilled edging, edwardian jackets, skinny trousers and slim button downs echoed that theme. i really loved the collection, and the gowns were elegant and modern, but not couture.
