last night’s met gala had a football player, a hockey player, some musicians, some real singers and some psuedo-singers, an aging rocker, a proposal, and kate moss. what it didn’t have was a plethora of well dressed people. i was extremely disappointed in so many people, who were just blah. so who were my picks for best dressed?
karolina kurkova looked simply stunning in roberto cavalli. the hair, accessories, the jacket, everything was exquisite.
mary-kate and ashley olsen both were gorgeous. mary-kate’s eyelash feather gown with leather corset belt matched right in with her gothic bohemian style, while ashley went with cool minimalism wearing a white chiffon micropleated gown with a plunging neckline.
lucy liu channeled a perfect flapper look in f/w 07.08 zac posen, escorted by the designer. her plum fishtail gown fit her perfectly, and the headband was a nice 20s touch.
dr. lisa airan did the poiret theme right, wearing a custom rodarte gown with a poiret cape. rachel roy was also radiant in her own design.
