although i am a huge fan of monochromatic and minimal dressing, every now and again i get the urge to mix things up, and when i say “mix things up,” i mean really go there (within reason). these three pieces—the t-shirt, skirt, and shoes—don’t go together at all, except for the fact that each piece is in similar color cool color palette and all the prints are somewhat linear. somehow they all worked in unison, and i received quite a few compliments on my print mixing. hearing praise on an outfit that you somewhat threw on is the best thing, isn’t it? it definitely put a spring in my step.
