overall, i wasn’t overwhelmed with what i saw from the spring shows in new york, but then again, i’m not really a spring show person. i was going back through style.com and checking out collections when i came across photos from juan carlos obando, who i was only familiar with because of his recent j. crew collaboration. i could not get enough of the silk layers, flowing robes, bias cut dresses, and wide leg pants done in monochromatic tones of blush, rust, lilac, sand, black and white. everything was so lush and luxurious, like i should be lounging on a villa balcony—or at least going to a few san francisco red carpet events.
