if first you succeed…

the gap has decided to give the design editions another go, with four new designers (and repeater phillip lim) doing their take on the white shirt. threeasfour did a cutaway dress ($88) and a cotton cami ($78), band of outsiders has a mens shirting patchwork tunic ($88), lim has four pieces (a tie-neck shirt, a bell-sleeve ruched shirt and a layered sleeve top, all at $78) and michael bastian did a mens slim cut western shirt for $78. jewelry designer philip crangi added a rhinestone and resin bandgle ($45). another plus: the collection will be sold in all gap stores (last time it only made it online and flagship locations). i’m most excited about the patchwork tunic…hopefully the cuts will be better than the last go-round (where an XS was more like a large). the collection hits stores april 15, also known as tax day.
