narciso rodriguez’s fall collection saw him returning to his roots: structural silhouettes in a minimal palette of black, white, gray and cream (with shots of cobalt and emerald). the looks included piped scuba style jackets, high waist skinny pants and pencil skirts, cape back jackets, v-neck tulip dresses, nylon anoraks, and coccoon jackets with square beaded closures.
accessories were also on the minimal side, with patent ankle strap peep toe sandals and long leather gloves.
doo ri chung had a great 2006. she won the swarovski perry ellis award for emerging talent and the cfda/vogue fashion fund, plus designed a wonderful s/s collection. for fall, she kept exploring draping in her signature silk jersey. looks included flirty tunics worn over black leggings or tights, bust-length cropped trench jackets, flyaway boleros, fur sleeve babydoll dresses, tops with web-like angora, bubble hem skirts, blouson tops, and long gowns with deep v-necks and striped sashs.
