two fashion heavyweights have unveiled their spring/summer ads, with one house taking an entirely new direction and model, and the other adding some names to its blockbuster f/w list.
chanel, after 2 (or is it 3) seasons of lagerfeld muse daria has moved on to the lovely freja beha ericson (who is on tap for a big spring, campaign wise). the ads were shot by kaiser karl in miami. after many were questioning if freja was a “chanel” girl, i think this ad proves she’s an a-lister whose career is only going onward and upward.
meanwhile, over at versace, out is christy turlington and in is doutzen kroes who shines along side carmen kass, angela lindvall, kate moss, carolyn murphy and jonathan ryhs-meyers. the ads were shot by mario testino in a manhattan apartment. can’t wait to see more of these ads.
