in most of the country, fall is coming in hot (ha ha) but in san francisco, indian summer is lingering a bit longer. it’s been warm-ish during the day, enough so that i can still wear gingham for work. i picked up this shirt from ralph lauren a few weeks before my trip to the hamptons and i’m into the smaller scale check (with an even smaller scale check at the cuffs) and that it’s black, not navy. for the office, i paired it with a white tweed pencil skirt, something that i wear year round, and red sandals for a pop of color. for later into fall, i’ll add a herringbone or tweed blazer, coated denim, and a loafer or ankle bootie.
the last few weeks have been jam packed with holiday presentations at work and my birthday 2 weekends ago, and it shows no signs of slowing down with a couple of trips back east on the horizon. what’s coming up for you this fall?
