it may be close to the end of august, but in these parts, shorts-wearing weather is just getting started. shorts are something i don’t wear very much other than the occasional romper and some denim cutoffs, mainly because it’s hard to find ones that fit my hips and thighs. i’m a big fan of drapey styles, like this bermuda style from loft (perfect for a more creative office or a dinner out) and a shorter, pleated pair from banana republic (also available in an orange-y red and white). the fabric on these is great and doesn’t wrinkle, so ideal for more humid days or travel, and gives just enough polish to a striped tee or tank.
