the new look: golden.

two things about this look:

one, i picked up this safari shirt a few weeks ago from banana because i love the idea of an elevated button front shirt (like this sequin sleeve one), and this metallic linen one has great details and a nice drape.

two, also a few weeks ago we were at muji looking for some things to get the apartment organized, and i stumbled upon these boyfriend-ish jeans. i had been looking for something like this, a bit slouchier on the hips, worn in but with no holes, and long enough to cuff. i tried them on a whim and…perfection. not to mention they were under $50. i know many of you don’t live near a muji, so banana has a pair that’s under $130 (that come in regular, petite, and long and are an extra 40% off right now), gap has a straight leg under $60, and j.crew has a few options that are 30% off.
