i first discovered sezané in 2014 through their collaborations with madewell, and i loved their take on french girl style—elegant pieces with a bit of cheekiness and a lot of detail. over the past few years, the brand has really taken off in the u.s.; they have “collections” available every 4 months and they sell out quickly, a denim line and now their first retail store in new york (modeled after a french apartment).
i had the opportunity at the end of last year to try some items and while not everything worked for me (this skirt was too small in the waist, but the print is gorgeous and this sweater was a bit too boho for my style), overall i was very happy. the quality is great for the pricepoint, and i love the tightly edited collections. one thing i knew i wanted was the alysé blouse. i’ve been searching for a few months for an all over lace top like this, and for $120, you can’t beat the detailing of this one. the pattern is small enough that i felt comfortable just wearing a nude bra underneath. for a chic work look, i added my long-time favorite j. crew cargo pants the brand recently brought back, a tailored blazer and for more french-ness, a leopard print pump. for a night out, i’d show off the open back and add a suede mini and sleek booties. stay tuned for part 2 of my collab featuring another fab sezané item.
on another note, i’ve received some great comments on what you love and/or want to see more of here, so keep them comin’!
theory blazer, sezané shirt c/o (wearing a 6), j. crew pants (wearing a size 4), miu miu pumps (old, similar), future glory bag, super sunglasses, rock salt vintage earrings, butter london plush rush satin matte lipstick in charmed
