usually i’m creating the marketing for my day job at banana republic but it’s fun to be in the marketing (like here). if you follow me on instagram or get emails from br, this outfit may look familiar. i was asked by my co-workers to appear in an august email, and i was super happy they wanted me to be in one about stripes! as someone who grew up as an east coast prep, stripes are an integral part of my wardrobe any time of year. this sleeveless striped sweater is pretty cool—it looks like a t-shirt but it’s actually a lightweight knit. and if you’ve been to san francisco in the summer, then you know that this is the perfect layer. in a warmer climate, like marin or the east bay, you could wear it alone, but in the city, you could add a button down shirt under it for a chic look. other neutral pieces, like the new hayden pull-on pant, denim jacket, and cream tote complete the look and i added a pop of color in my favorite red sandals to dress up the stripes and also give the look a nautical twist.
