i love supporting local brands, especially when their story is as interesting as linda balti of amour vert. if you aren’t familiar with the line, you can read more about it here and see another look featuring their knitwear (made of organic cotton). their latest collection, seaside retreat, has just launched, and it includes new takes on the striped tee, pretty silk blouses, and cozy cardigans all made with sustainable materials and processes that use less water. when i spotted the kim dress, made from modal engineered from carbon-neutral beech trees, of course i had to get it! i do have a thing for throw-on-and-go knit dresses, but this one is instantly feminized by adding a wraparound waist tie. it has a slim but not tight fit, so it will work for the office or a night out but also with a pair of sneakers and a denim jacket for weekends.
today is valentine’s day, which can be bittersweet for some. personally i was never big on it, even when i was in a relationship. i came across this poem on wit and delight and i had to share; i hope it resonates with you the way it did with me. happy valentine’s day!
