confession time: you know those banner ads that pop up while you’re online, when you’re checking email or reading the article on the 5 biggest trends for spring? i found this dress via one of those. i was looking for some interesting pieces to take to new york, and an ad for stylewe appeared in the sidebar. i had never heard of them, but there were a few really cool dresses in the ad, so i clicked through to see more. there i found this one, with ruffled, cascading sleeves and tiered skirt, in a combination flocked floral and windowpane print. i know—it seems like a lot, but i took a chance and placed an order (the 40% off all dresses code i had didn’t hurt).
i was pleasantly surprised when it arrived…it was fun and flattering, and it fit! the only thing i had to replace was the slip lining that came with the dress with one i already had to wear it alone. i’ve already paired the dress with leather leggings and pumps for an edgier look and can see wearing it in warmer weather with strappy heels or flat sandals. sometimes you’ve got to take a chance to find something unique.
