i love, love, love fisherman sweaters. there’s something so “i-just-stepped-out-of-a-ralph-lauren-ad” about them. i had one when i was a kid (which i think my mom got from john wanamaker’s), but then when i was in high school, i bought a few authentic irish versions from urban outfiiters (back when they used to sell that kind of thing). most of mine were in more traditional colors like cream, navy, and hunter green, but recently i found this colorblock version in nordstrom’s topshop section. even d, a tried-and-true new englander, thought it was “pretty cool” (his words). it’s always a win-win when your partner loves something you wear just as much as you do.
