a few weeks ago, my very good friends got married in the most incredible setting, the palace of fine art. outdoor weddings—especially this time of year—can be tricky because in san francisco it’s usually sunny but can be chilly in the shade. you also don’t want to be too formal for a ceremony that isn’t in a church. this dress from bcbg is the perfect mix of formality with the long length and sexiness with the sheer hem. i also loved the metallic shades mixed with black ponte side and waist, which add a bit of stretch. because when you’re dancing and eating (in this case, yummy bites from tyler florence’s wayfare tavern), you don’t want to be too constricted…
