s/s 2012 new york: reed krakoff.

#NYFW collections

one of my favorite designers right now has to be reed krakoff. i’ve always been a lover of cleaner lines and a more mimimal style but without the nineties feeling, and krakoff seems to know exactly what i want before i can even think of it. suits with contrasting color hems? check. coats with low-slung belts? check. those plus the sleek, straight leg pants, baseball sleeve sweaters, and wrap skirts are all mainstays in the line and continued in new ways for spring. he added leather gowns, cellophane windbreakers, and a bold bird print that was scattered in the middle of the show. after a few seasons of focusing on the bigger bag, he went small, showing mirrored clutches and a smaller version of the 510 bag in highlighter yellow or burnt orange. you can krakoff has worked hard to develop the brand dna and stay true to it, and with each season, i become more and more enamored with it.
