one of my favorite current models, maryland lacrosser hilary rhoda (and current face of givenchy and donna karan) told fashionweekdaily yesterday that she has been named the newest estee lauder spokesperson. her ads will include makeup and skincare and will debut in august.
“I’m really excited and happy to be doing a beauty campaign for Estée Lauder,” Rhoda said. “It’s a refreshing change from fashion.”
yea!! i’m so excited! i love her aristocratic look, a mix of early liz taylor, jackie o and ali mcgraw, yet whenever i see or read interviews with her, she seems so grounded and happy for the opportunities coming her way. right now, estee has a collection of women i totally dig: liya kebede, carolyn murphy, gwyneth paltrow, elizabeth hurley and anja rubik. congrats to hilary for nailing such a major cosmetics contract so early in her career.
