on the days when i need to throw something on and still be put together—or running behind and need to be out the door in fifteen minutes, the first thing i usually reach for is a t-shirt. my t-shirt wardrobe is quite extensive, with brands like the row and alexander wang mixing with the gap and uniqlo, in varying sleeve lengths and necklines for any occasion or layering option. wearing a t-shirt with a pair of jeans or a pencil skirt (see jenna lyons) are usually my go-to’s, but i’ve started pulling some new inspiration, like a pair of leather shorts, slouchy trousers, or a long skirt and channel raf simons for jil sander.
