wear anywhere: the original jean.

Uncategorized wear anywhere

when it comes to jeans, certain styles have ruled the roost for the last few years and those have been the skinny/super skinny/legging and the boyfriend. in my denim closet, i gravitate more toward the skinny variety and i’ve got blues in all hues, plus those that are distressed, rinsed, or coated—it’s definitely my go-to silhouette. but back in march, i picked up a pair of boy/straight fit jeans from zara and they’ve become a favorite for dressing up and down. sometimes, though, you don’t want distressing or holes, you just want a clean, cropped, higher waist, slightly loose, slightly tapered pair of jeans. and as i’ve been pinning style inspiration, i’ve noticed in more and more of the denim looks that the bottom layer is more of a straighter fit.

levi’s 501s are the gold standard (and affordable!), but unfortunately they just don’t work on my shape. so back to zara i went to try on this pair, but they didn’t quite the fit the same as my lighter pair (and the little holes bugged me). the search continued online until this weekend when i stumbled upon the perfect pair from mih (called the tomboy) in the sale section of anthropologie. they’re on sale at amazon, and some other washes are below, along with some of the other pairs that i uncovered in my search.

are you branching out of your denim comfort zone and trying some newer fits whether it’s straight, flare, or high-waist?
