i’m not complaining about the temperatures in the 70s and low 80s the past few days, but part of me is longing for cooler temperatures—especially when it’s almost time for the holidays. it’s been an interesting last week and weekend in the wake of hurricane sandy, checking in on my family and friends who are all (thankfully) ok. i spent quite a bit of time at the jersey shore growing up and in college, and it saddens me to see the lives lost and devastation in my favorite towns. i’ve already donated to the red cross and the hubs has donated blood, but more help is needed in new jersey, staten island, and delaware. if you can, text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation, go to redcross.org.
