last week was certainly eventful, in more ways than one. i already mentioned that our fall photoshoot was thursday and friday, and i was really excited but also a bit nervous. i was super psyched about our models and the prospect of shooting in our wonderful house, but i was also fearful of not getting all the shots we needed for an entire season. the early part of the week was full of prepping—finalizing the details like hair, makeup, signing off on props, and doing the shotlist.
then on top of that, wednesday i was promoted, which was of course amazing, but again, it added a bigger feeling of anxiousness. and then a funny thing happened—i decided to have fun with it. the photoshoots are the best part of my job (if we’re being real), and i certainly wasn’t going to spend all day and night worrying about what could go wrong. everything didn’t go exactly go according to plan, but it was figured out, and the show went on. our team and talent were amazing (see the photographic evidence here), and after those two days i was left with no voice because of how much i was enjoying myself. so what’s the moral of this story? sometimes, you’ve just gotta let go and just have fun, and everything else will work itself out (and when it does, you treat yourself to something nice).
