a little known fact about me: i was a skater back in the day. growing up on a street with mostly boys, i was always intrigued by skateboarding and skate culture, especially the board and t-shirt graphics (still am, and adding snowboarding in there too). i had a subscription to thrasher and transworld skateboarder, and i was so excited to get my ccs catalog in the mail (vs. now when i feel the same way about the j. crew one). vision street wear was probably one of my favorite brands—i had sneakers and hoodies from vsw and stickers on everything. now instead of wearing my sweatshirt with my doc martens and baggy jeans, i’m pairing it with skirts and more tailored denim, and it was perfect for weekend errands.
