the new look: harris tweed.

the new look Uncategorized

i’ve been a fan of j.crew since college, when their pieces du jour weren’t the café capri or the tippi sweater, but the barn jacket, the rugby, and the roll collar sweater (all of which i still own). many say the glory days of j.crew were the late 00’s and 2010/11, and i can see that, not only in terms of product but the price (although the collection line is crazy amazing).

this blazer is from fall 2010 (featured in the september 2010 catalog), and i’ve gotten a lot of use out of it as an oversized blazer and as a coat. i’ve even been asked a few times if it’s vintage (can i say sort of?) or if it’s a men’s blazer (it was modeled after one). it’s also the kind of piece that’s a bit hard to find today, which is one of things that was great about j. crew back in those years…they made unique items that were also timeless.

do you have a favorite clothing item from j.crew (or another line) that has endured through the years?
