the new look: cocoon.

you guys know i love a good sweatshirt, but this one is ah-mazing. it’s juan carlos obando, from the cfda/vogue fashion fund collection in collaboration with j.crew, and i remember really being into it when the line first came out. my local j.crew didn’t carry it, and since it had such a unique shape, i was wary of just buying it sight unseen. flash forward to a few weeks ago, when the site was having a major sale (40% off sale!), and i had to pull the trigger. after reading the reviews, i ordered a small and i’m glad i did. it’s slightly cropped (read: waist length) in the front, the fabric is almost like neoprene (and feels like something you’d get from barneys), and i looove the cocoon shape.
