the first thing i noticed when scrolling through pics of balenciaga resort was a terrycloth towel as a scarf on the model wearing look number four, and a terrycloth bustier in look 27. gimmicky? maybe. but that’s where they ended, because the rest of the collection was elegant with sophisticated touches, like exposed darts and lingerie details, silk jacquard fabrics, and subtle cutouts. i could see a woman of 25 or 75 wearing these clothes, which is a win-win in my book.
