i’m writing this from an apartment in hell’s kitchen, soaking up the sights and sounds of new york. it’s one of my favorite places in the world, always a source of endless inspiration. it also signals the start of the spring 2012 collections, which will continue on to london, milan, and paris. although it’s just turning fall, i’m looking forward to all the spring shows and what will be on my shopping list in the new year.
i am here to visit with friends and family, attend the independent fashion bloggers conference (can’t wait to hear keynote speaker joe zee), attend some shows and go to some events for fashion’s night out. on my agenda: j.crew’s prince street store (where jenna lyons and head of women’s design marissa webb will be hosting) and coach (with bloggers kelly framel, leandra medine, emily weiss, and more holding court) for the relaunch of the iconic duffle. i’m sad to be missing the san francisco festivities, but i know my stylish friends will represent!
