half way there.

vogue finally put an actress on the cover that i love: jennifer connelly, who is starring in reservation road with joaquin phoenix. she has a cool, edgy vibe that’s perfect for fashion (and balenciaga is one of her favorite labels). but instead of playing up that edginess, vogue has “dumbed her down,” putting her in a navy dress sitting outside, like every other vogue cover. i know it’s the most important women’s fashion mag out there, but does it have to be so boring?

inside, there’s a white background ed with coco rocha and raquel zimmerman (by meisel), a raymond meier ed with suvi koponen, norman jean roy meets up with the cfda/vogue fashion fund nominees with model doutzen kroes, and the vogue index (always the best part of the mag) features a bevy of models (the lilys donaldson and cole, raquel, hana soukupova, chanel iman, and kate moss).
