currently coveting: for the host.

currently coveting Uncategorized

the last few years, we’ve stayed local for thanksgiving and either did a quiet evening at home and a movie or celebrated with some friends that were also in town. as someone who has hosted dinner (or a brunch), it’s always extra nice when guests bring a little something that isn’t wine or champagne — something that is truly reflective of the host. here are a few things that caught my eye that i know i’d love to receive if i were having a holiday party.

1. diptyque holiday candles in in amber, frankincense, or fir bring the scent of the holidays indoors. /  2. the proust questionnaire makes a great after dinner game. / 3. a slate cheese board and knife set will get tons of use. / 4. i’m in love with the blues in these agate coaters. / 5. you can’t help but have candy or nuts at the ready if you display them in this stunning crystal bowl. / 6. a refillable compact in the sign of the zodiac. / 7. love this pretty (and a bit cheeky) gold platter. / 8. make a donation in the host’s name to the red cross. because there is always a need.
