currently coveting: the bermuda triangle.

so what is on my wishlist for spring? well we already talked about something fringed, and there was my investment bag. i already picked up a current/elliott denim skirt during the bloomie’s friends and family (you can get it during shopbop’s f&f event), but there’s a few other pieces i’m on the hunt for. i’d love another jumpsuit; i love my long-sleeve theory one but want an option that can be layered (or not). i’m also still looking for the perfect pair of “original jeans;” i like the pair i have from mih, but they aren’t perfect. on paper, the levi’s 501 ct is exactly what i want, but they were very unfortunate looking on me. so the hunt continues.

i also look to runway shows to see what pieces could be good additions, and one i’m digging, as seen in the dior spring 2015 show, is the longer board short. raf simons showed them with a longer vest or jacket and midcalf booties, but i’m thinking a chunkier heel sandal (like my céline bam bam’s or maybe these from vince) would be fab. bermudas can be tricky to wear if you aren’t model-sized—i would go with a shorter length so i’m exposing more leg. the good thing is that there are tons of options out there at every price, from brands like asos and express to victoria beckham and margiela…see my picks in the slideshow below.

a few trends i’m passing on: the 70s (even though i was born in that decade, i’m not particularly into it), gingham, all-over floral, and flat-forms. what are you buying this spring and what trends are you avoiding?
