i was a bit hesitant to jump onto the pleated metallic skirt trend, mainly because i feared it would emphasize my pear shape body. i picked up this asos skirt at the beginning of the year (on major sale) and it’s really fun and not as bulky as i thought. a substantial shoe, like a block heel sandal or these platform pump, and a slim top balance out the fullness of the skirt. also instead of one with an a-line shape, look for one where the pleats go straight down, which will be more slimming.
