it’s just around the corner.

collections

well not really. it hasn’t even turned summer here in san francisco, but banana republic is thinking fall. br had their fall/winter runway show at milk studios in new york on monday, and deborah lloyd, evp of design, said the inspiration was jean shrimpton and david bailey photographs. “it’s all about clean,” lloyd stated.

the collection included mostly monotone looks of black, grey and white with shots of red, pink, purple and blue. my favorite looks were a red cashmere tee dress worn over a red turtleneck, a cropped leather jacket, balloony short sleeve sweater, tweedy pencil skirts, and a houndstooth wool coat. the accessories looked great as well…i’ll be getting a pair of the elbow length leather gloves or a newsboy cap.
