you’re the heroine in the biggest movie of the year (of all time?) and you’re heading to your first oscars—what to wear, what to wear. chanel haute couture of course. but not just any gown, you choose a sparkly cocktail dress in the palest blue/gray, pull your hair back tight (in a cool wrap knot), and add a bright lip. boom. done. young, modern, and totally appropriate for the occasion.
for the most part i was underwhelmed by the red carpet, but i was happy that there was a lot of individuality (although purple was a trending color). besides daisy, i was in love with charlize theron and rachel mcadams, and underwhelmed by brie larson and alicia vikander (especially since i liked some of their earlier award show choices). overall a big thumbs up for less mermaid gowns.
